Dear Seniors,
You will be the first class to experience the redesigned Senior Research Project, Generation I. Working together this summer, a committee of teachers made changes that we are excited to share with you.
We created a project with you, the student, in mind, replacing the research paper with a multimedia product. Instead of writing about your experiment or invention, you create a professional presentation using original video and photos, pictures, film clips, music, and more. The Generation I version of Senior Research emphasizes the design of your project and the quality of your data or the design of your invention and the development of your idea. Although the research skills remain the same, the assessment tools are new and geared to meet the demands of the 21st century project design.
Additionally, there is a new option: partnerships. We realize that conducting an experiment while holding a camera can be tricky and that teamwork is crucial to workplace success, so we’re giving you the chance to find a fellow researcher to shoulder the workload. However, you can choose to do this project alone if this option better suits your learning style.
Take a look at the pages to learn more about the Generation I Project.
Sincerely,
The Members of the Senior Research, Generation I Committee
Mrs. Benzing, Mrs. Hollstein, Mr. Kosinski, Sra. Rodriguez, Dr. Rush, Mr. Satalino, Dr. Vasta, Mrs. Vega, Mrs. Voltz
